Home Team Programs
ALPINE PROGRAMS
Choose one day (Saturday or Sunday) for the season. Please note: It is not possible to switch days during the season. No travel. All trainings and competitions are at Bogus Basin.
ABILITY – One season of skiing experience required. Must be able to independently load, ride and unload the chair lift alone; stop on their own and put on their own ski equipment. Participants will explore the entire mountain in a fun and safe learning environment.
MITEY MITES U8 (6 & 7 YRS)
- Introductory program focused on basic skiing skills and having fun. Must have one or more seasons of ski experience.
ALPINE DEVO U10+ (8-14 YRS)
- Age-appropriate skill progression using US Ski & Snowboard Skill Quest Training System
FREESKI DEVO

ABILITY – Must be able to ski/snowboard at an intermediate level; comfortable skiing/riding the entire Deer Point Chair area; Lower Nugget, Wild Cat, and Paradise runs on the Pine Creek Chair; Triumph and War Eagle runs on the Superior Chair.
FREESKI DEVO (9-13 YRS)
- Fundamental skills and safety awareness, exploring the entire mountain
SNOWBOARD DEVO
This program is only offered on Saturdays. No travel. All trainings and competitions are at Bogus Basin.
ABILITY –This program is for riders with at least one season of experience. Must be able to ride at an intermediate level, linking S turns. comfortable skiing/riding the entire Deer Point Chair area; Lower Nugget, Wild Cat, and Paradise runs on the Pine Creek Chair; Triumph and War Eagle runs on the Superior Chair.
SNOWBOARD DEVO (9-13 YRS)
- Structured environment to improve riding skills and explore the entire mountain
FOR THE ADULTS
MASTERS RACING (19+)
- High-level Alpine race training for adults
Age 19+ by December 31st
On Snow Training:
January 3 – March 7
Sundays from 9:30 AM – 12 PM
Wednesday nights starting January 6, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, weather dependent

Travel Team Programs
ALPINE TRAVEL
U10 NORTH SERIES PREP (8 YRS+)
- Team-oriented, fun and challenging training with a lighter travel schedule
U12+ NORTH SERIES TRAVEL (10 YRS+)
- Team-oriented atmosphere with an emphasis on developing race skills. Three or more competitions throughout the season.
ALPINE COMP TEAMS (12-18 YRS) *
- Technical and tactical development with focus on Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, Downhill and all-mountain skiing
* ABILITY – Athletes interested in joining the Alpine Comp Teams should discuss participation with Head Coach NickS@bbsef.org. Advanced ski experience is required for this program.
BIG MOUNTAIN TRAVEL TEAMS
Big Mountain Team athletes should be comfortable skiing all areas of Bogus Basin and ready to explore more challenging terrain
Big Mtn Progression Ages 10-14
Training: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM;
December 12- mid-March
No training December 24–27, or Presidents’ weekend.
Space is limited to 12 athletes
U15 Big Mountain Comp Team Ages 12-14
U19 Big Mountain Comp Team Ages 15-18
Training: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM;
December 5- mid-March
Wednesday nights (January–mid-March); includes pre-season and in-season dryland opportunities.
No training December 24–27, MLK weekend, or Presidents’ weekend.
- Each team is limited to 7 athletes.
FREESKI/SNOWBOARD PARK TEAMS
The Freeski/snowboard Park Team Teams train for and compete in USASA competitions. Training will build upon established fundamental freeski and slopestyle skills.
Coaches work to ensure athletes develop as skiers/riders and as people, learning to be part of a team and thrive in a more independent, training-oriented environment.
FREESKI/SNOWBOARD PROGRESSION (10-14 YRS)
Training: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
December 12- mid-March

Space is limited to 10 athletes
