Seasonal Coaching Opportunities

Help Treasure Valley Youth Develop Fundamental Skills of Skiing/Riding As They Apply to Alpine Racing, All-mountain Skiing/Snowboarding and Park & Pipe Competitions.

Compensation includes hourly pay, Bogus Basin season pass and discounted food at Pioneer and Simplot Lodges.


Home Team Coaches

BBSEF Home Team Coaches develop skills that set them up for coaching and instructing opportunities at ski areas throughout the US and beyond.

Coaches must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level and enjoy working with children.

Positions are one or two-days per week Saturdays and/or Sundays; 6 hours per day,

Mid-December to mid-March.

Paid dryland, classroom and on-snow coaches training provided in late fall.

Travel Team Coaches

BBSEF is committed to coach development and encourages each to achieve next-level credentials throughout their tenure with the club. Athletic Director Shawn Smith is a 20-year member of the PSIA Demo Team and a Level 400 US Ski and Snowboard Coach. Shawn is dedicated to helping BBSEF athletes and coaches advance their skills and careers.



U14/U16 Travel Coach

BBSEF seeks experienced Alpine Coach for U14 and older, Alpine racers.

3-6 days per week, starting between September and November and may continue to the end of April.

This position reports to BBSEF Athletic Director - Shawn Smith

 

If you meet the following criteria:

Expert skiing ability

Experience coaching Alpine racing and technical skiing skills

Required Level 100 or higher US Ski and Snowboard Coaching Certification 

Excellent communication skills

Effective organizational skills

Ability to collaborate with BBSEF coaching staff and IMD officials

Joy in working with children of all ages

U12+ Alpine Travel Coaches 

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available beginning between September 15 and November 1 and may continue until April 15. The winter schedule includes 3-6 days per week, Tuesday thru Sunday depending on position. Must pass a background check and complete SafeSport training. Travel is required and a clean driving record is required.

 

Qualifications include:

Must ski at an expert level

Experienced coaching Alpine ski racing and technical skills.

US Ski and Snowboard - Coaching Certification level 100 (minimum)

Excellent communication skills

Effective organizational skills

Must enjoy working with children of all ages.
