Mighty Mite Snowboard Team

 

This program is designed for riders 8 – 11 years of age.  Emphasis will be focused on fundamentals and plenty of fun.  The coaches will be striving to help the kids reach their full potential with an emphasis on Freeriding.   The goal of this program is to promote a lifelong love of snowboarding.

 

 

Program Highlights:

·         All participants must have basic snowboard skills and be able to load the chair by themselves.

·         All participants must be 8 years of age.

·         All participants are required to wear a helmet.

·         Athletes train Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  There will be an unsupervised lunch hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

·         The season will run 12 weeks from December 19th through March through March 6th.

·         Athletes will participate and work on freestyle, freeride, alpine and mountain and park etiquette.  This a great place for who want to increase the level of their skills.

·         Boarders will compete in local competitions.

 

Bogus Basin Snowboard Team

 

This program is designed for riders 12 years of age and older.  Racer will build on skills acquired in the Mighty Mite program.  The Varsity team is designed so that the athlete can reach their goal of excellence.  The program will continue with freeriding to sharpen the skills in the area of disciplines that our mountain is able to support.  Riders will be encouraged to travel to mountains that have ½ pipes.  The riders will also be encourage to compete in any local or regional slopestyle or ½ pipe events

 

 

Program Highlights:

·         All participants must be twelve years of age or older.

·         All participants are required to wear a helmet.

·         Participants may be required to have a USSA Regional Competitors license.

·          A USASA license may also be required for certain events.

·         Racers will be encouraged to participate in school gate races, Freeride park events, and freestyle techniques.

·         Athletes train Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  There will be an unsupervised lunch hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
