BBSEF Mitey Mites is an introductory program designed for ages 6 & 7 (U8) with basic skiing skills.  Our focus is on having fun while learning skills that will develop a great all-around skier.  Mitey Mites spend most of their time learning by free skiing with experienced coaches.  We keep skiing and learning FUN!

Ability
Participants must have one winters skiing experience, must be able to stop on their own, be able to put on their own ski equipment, load and ride the lift alone.

Mitey Mite Team Goals:
At the completion of Mitey Mites it is our goal that each athlete has:

·         Greatly improved their skiing ability

·         Developed confidence in his/her ability

·         Made new friends

·         Introduce young skiers to the possibilities of snow sports competition.

·         Thoroughly enjoyed and learned from their experience on this team.

Schedule

Groups ski together from 9:30a-3:30p on Saturday and/or Sunday. Lunch is unsupervised from 12:00p-1:00p. Participants choose either Saturday or Sunday for the entire season. 

Competitions

Throughout the season athletes will participate in the Coaches Cup Series. This series is designed to expose Mitey Mites the different disciplines of skiing in a friendly competition environment.

Coaches Cup Series: BBSEF Home Team programs members (Mitey Mite, Devo Team, Freeski, and Snowboard), participate in the Coaches Cup series.  This series includes a one day Giant Slalom or Slopestyle, a one-day Slalom or Slopestyle and our three-day, four-event Coaches Cup Finale.  The Coaches Cup Finale is four events over three days. The four events are Slalom, Giant Slalom, jumping and either a slopestyle or skiercross event.  Awards will be given to 1st-5th, place in the Coaches Cup races with participant ribbons for all competitors.  We also have an end of season Coaches Cup Overall award based on points awarded based on results at each of the Coaches Cup competitions.

A Bogus Basin Season pass is required and must be purchased directly through Bogus Basin.
