Nick Treat
Freeski & Snowboard Head Coach
Coach Treat brings over 15 years of coaching experience to the program. In addition to his work with us, Treat works for the Professional Ski Instructors of America, Western Division as an Alpine Steering Committee Member, Level III Manager and Examiner. He is also a Staff Trainer for Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows. One of Coach Treat’s career highlights is the opportunity to coach Ross Peraudo of Australia in 2011 and 2012 at Perisher Resort in Australia– Ross won the ANZ Cup in Slalom, which designated him a spot on the 2012 Australian Olympic Team and Bib 31 on the World Cup. Treat’s career highlights also include working with the youngest among us. After coaching for 10 years and achieving top level qualifications in both PSIA and USSA, he moved age classes to coach a group of promising Mighty Mite’s at Mammoth Mountain. There he shared strong technical and tactical skills while introducing every different aspect of the sport. Those athletes are now top in their age class among the Far West. Treat’s professional qualifications include: PSIA Level 3, Childrens Specialist 2, and Examiner and a US Ski & Snowboard Level 300.

Johnny Kopp
Big Mountain Coach

Johnny grew up skiing for Winter Park Competition Center in Colorado and in 2015 started coaching in Steamboat as a Junior Freeride Coach. In 2017, he came to BBSEF as a Big Mountain Coach. Johnny holds a coaches level 100 certification in both USASA and USSA and a level 200 IFSA certifications. Johnny is driven by his athletes aspirations to be the best and in turn aspires to continue his coaching education to reach top coaching qualifications to help his athletes do great things.

Park & Pipe Coach

Zach grew up in a small ski town in Colorado called Winter Park where he raced for the Winter Park Competition Center until age 15. This is where he found success being a Junior Olympian multiple times, and a member of the Rocky Mountain Division Team. As a sophomore he decided it was time to switch disciplines and began competing in slopestyle un. After his competition days were done he moved to Durango, Colorado and spent time exploring the backcountry and skiing places in Telluride, Silverton, and Wolf Creek. In 2018, he made the move to Boise and began coaching for BBSEF where he received his IFSA level 100 certification and started working towards many more.
